Post Covid 19 World

Experts say that it will take almost a year to completely get rid of the health and financial crisis which has been caused solely due to the outbreak of coronavirus. So even if the lockdown period ends, there won’t be absolute freedom of movement. People will be advised to observe social distancing until no new case of corona emerges. How this will impact the global economy which has already gone under recession as announced by IMF.
Let us first look at some positive news amidst all crisis:
  1. Air pollution reduced significantly: Due to lockdown and restriction on movement of vehicles, air pollution has fallen everywhere on the earth, it has gone down by  40% in some places. According to WHO, due to the exposure to fine particles of air pollution, around 7 million people die every year in the world. And obviously, pollution weakens the immune system, so it creates a problem on a daily basis. This Lockdown period has taught a new way to combat pollution. People can be encouraged in future to follow lockdown on a weekly or monthly basis.
  2. Awareness of hygiene: we don’t want to be aware until the problem arrives. Most of the people, especially in third world countries have been neglecting personal hygiene. Now due to this pandemic, the awareness of hygiene has reached to all corners of the earth. Hygiene means less vulnerability to diseases.
  3. The economy will not crash, but more sustainable and innovative ideas will emerge: Till now, the whole world has been thinking in an extremely materialistic way where more consumption means more profit. But the ultimate goal of humans can never be monetary profit alone, rather it is the well-beingness of all humans in terms of physical and mental health and happiness. After all, one cannot eat currency and coins, so measuring everything in the world in terms of money has had been a false idea. It created only havoc. Now the world leaders will willingly opt for innovative business ideas where more focus will be given to the need, less on greed.
  4. Animals and birds are reclaiming space: the mindless encroachment of humans on every place which belonged to animals and birds made our ecosystem more fragile. The reports have come from all over the world that even rare animals are seen walking fearlessly in many places. Birds have once again started chirping.
  5. Period of solitude transforms human beings: Social distancing has brought us closer to our own real self. It’s a period to break old habits and thinking patterns and develop new healthier habits and solution-oriented mind.

The above-mentioned facts will certainly have a great impact on the world and what we are going to witness is altogether a different and the better world after one year.
